Intel in Metaverse race

Nvidia and Qualcomm are gaining additional support from investors as a result of the recent uproar over metaverse technology. Chip maker Intel is involved in this race. For the first time, Raja Kaduri, the head of Intel's Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group, has spoken to the public about 'Metaverse'. He said his organization's first participation in the Metaverse world would be through a software that would take advantage of the unused but existing computing capabilities of various devices. In response to how Intel's Metaverse software works, Kaduri gave an example to gamers. Let's say a gamer is trying to play a game on a laptop, whose graphics are putting extra pressure on the laptop's internal chip. But next door there is an unused gaming PC. In such a situation, Intel's software will be able to borrow the computing capability of the gaming PC for the game from the laptop through a home network. Kaduri said the software would also work with chips made by Intel's competitors. That said, the software is designed to address the technical implications of using clients, not to create new revenue streams for Intel; A part of it will be shared. Presenting the partnership plan to reporters, he said: "In this way, we will build all the layers that will work with everyone's hardware as long as it is in line with current industry standards. Whatever we make, a lot of it will be through open sourcing.”
